The Canadian Ryan Leech is a world apart in Trialsport. An exceptional talent on two wheels. How it is possible that anyone can ride on a hand-rail narrower than a tire? There is probably almost no obstacle that Ryan Leech cannot master. His specialty, jumps from one track rail to another including a turn, is fitting to his repertoire. Leech is blessed with an unique talent and he is a laid back sportsman too. In a decade-long career, Ryan Leech has performed in thousands of live and televised trials shows. Within the sport however, Ryan is renowned for a relentless commitment to innovative and progressive riding. This reputation has been cemented with his contributions to the most important mountain bike films of the last ten years: the Cranked Series, Ride to the Hills, and The Collective. His 2004 self-produced film Manifesto is the latest to push the boundaries of riding farther than ever before.

Thomas Öhler says that he rides over almost everything and knows that the art is to stay on the bike. Skill, strength, concentration, coordination – that’s trialbiking. A sport, with high demands and a feast for the eyes. That this sport can be dangerous, Thomas Öhler knows far too well. In training, the 20-year old he broke a metarsal in January 2003 and a torn ligament was diagnosed. Once healthy again, the student from Enns/Austria made a strong comeback. The vice Junior-Champion of 2001, he won an international trial event at Saarbrücken last season and acheived two third places in the Worldcup. Öhler continued his success into 2005, became European Champion and was twice on the Worldcup podium. For the triple Austrian champion, creativity and risk-taking are the most important things in this sport.
